BPP and RPR Bring Industry-Backed Home Value Insights to Cribio
The next evolution of industry-owned consumer home search is here.
Broker Public Portal (BPP) and Realtors Property Resource® (RPR®) have announced a new collaboration that will allow participating MLSs and associations to enable RPR’s Realtors Valuation Model® (RVM®) directly within their local Cribio consumer search experience.
The collaboration brings together two organizations deeply rooted in the real estate industry’s commitment to accuracy, transparency, and trust. Together, BPP and RPR are giving MLSs another way to provide consumers with meaningful home value context while preserving local control over permissions, display, and implementation decisions.
For consumers, the experience is simple: more useful property insights delivered inside a trusted, MLS-powered search experience.
For the industry, it represents something much bigger.
Cribio was built to prove that the real estate industry can deliver a modern, AI-driven consumer search platform without sacrificing broker relationships, listing integrity, or local market authority. The addition of RVM® values further strengthens that vision by helping participating MLSs provide richer property context directly within an industry-owned platform.
“Cribio was created to show that the real estate industry can deliver a modern consumer search experience without compromising trust, transparency, or local control,” said Dan Troup, CEO of Broker Public Portal. “Adding the RVM® gives participating MLSs a way to provide meaningful home value context inside an experience built to inform, not interrupt or sell. And just as important, decisions about how that data is displayed remain where they belong: with the MLS and the industry.”
The RVM® uses MLS listing data, off-market MLS data, and publicly recorded sold data to generate estimated property values. Within participating Cribio markets, RVM® values may be displayed on eligible off-market properties, subject to MLS authorization and permissions. Active listings will continue to display MLS-sourced listing prices.
Importantly, this is not a universal rollout or a mandated feature. Each MLS maintains full discretion over participation and authorization.
That local control matters.
As consumer expectations evolve and AI-powered search experiences become more prevalent across the industry, MLSs and brokerages are increasingly focused on ensuring their data is displayed responsibly and transparently. This collaboration reflects a growing industry effort to innovate without handing control of the consumer relationship to third-party portals.
“By making the RVM® available within an industry-owned consumer experience, participating MLSs can give consumers more useful home value context while helping REALTORS® stay connected to the conversations that matter,” said Liz Gunski, Vice President, Industry Relations at RPR. “This is not a one-size-fits-all rollout. It is an MLS-directed opportunity built around authorization, permission and trust.”
The announcement also comes as Cribio continues expanding nationally through MLS partnerships including NorthstarMLS, MIBOR, Canopy, Doorify, MRED, RMLS Alliance, OneKey, MetroList, MichRIC, and Greater Lansing (GLAR).
For many industry leaders, the collaboration highlights what the future of consumer home search should look like: useful information, professional transparency, and MLS-guided innovation working together in the same experience.
“This collaboration reflects exactly where the industry needs to go,” said Tim Dain, CEO of NorthstarMLS. “Consumers want clear, useful information. MLSs want confidence in how their data is used. Brokers and agents want a search experience that supports, not competes with, the professional relationship. Enabling the RVM® through BPP helps align all three.”
At its core, the collaboration between BPP and RPR reflects a broader industry shift toward consumer experiences built by the industry itself — powered by real MLS data, guided by local market expertise, and designed to strengthen trust instead of monetizing it.
MLSs and associations interested in enabling the RVM® within their BPP and Cribio experience can contact Broker Public Portal to begin the authorization and permissions process.
