Dan Troup, an accomplished professional in real estate technology, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Broker Public Portal (BPP). With over 18 years of experience, Dan has a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives and fostering collaboration within the industry. Formerly the Director of Data Operations & Strategy at RE/MAX, LLC, he played a key role in building the data framework for Seventy3, contributing to the success of remax.com. In his role as CEO at BPP, Dan is dedicated to shaping the strategic vision of the organization, enhancing the home search experience, and guiding BPP through its next phase of innovation and growth. Alongside his professional achievements, Dan graduated with honors from Western Michigan University, majoring in Computer Information Systems and Finance. He resides in the greater Kalamazoo Michigan area with his wife Sarah and their son Nolan.

Pat Shea – Chairman of the Board
Pat Shea brings over 30 years of real estate experience, including 20 in leadership, guiding Windermere Real Estate (formerly Lyon Real Estate) with innovation, strategic growth, and a commitment to excellence. Known for empowering teams and attracting top talent, he has built a high-performing organization recognized across the industry. Pat has appeared on the Swanepoel Power 200 list since 2015 and was honored with the 2025 LeadingRE Brokerage Leadership Award, RISMedia’s 2025 Real Estate Newsmaker, and the 2024 Chairman’s Service Award from LeadingRE. He serves on several boards, including The Realty Alliance, CREB, MetroList, and the Broker Public Portal, and previously on the LeadingRE Board of Directors. Earlier in his career, he earned the Sacramento Association of Realtors Masters Club Outstanding Life Member designation. Pat’s dedication to innovation and excellence continues to shape the future of real estate and strengthen the industry.
Shelley Specchio – Vice Chair
As CEO of MIBOR REALTOR® Association and the Broker Listing Cooperative®, in 2017, Shelley brought her desire to build and foster strong relationships and her dedication to a culture of excellence to complement MIBOR’s strong tradition of community involvement. MIBOR, the professional association representing central Indiana’s REALTORS, was founded in 1912 and today serves the needs of more than 8,500 members. Shelley was the 2015 President of the Council of Multiple Listing Services and began her career in the real estate industry in 1994 with the Reno/Sparks Association of REALTORS®. She went on to lead the Northern Nevada Regional MLS as CEO from 2008 to 2017. Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, Shelley earned her degree from the University of Nevada.
M.E. Cook – Secretary
M.E. Cook serves as Broker of Record for the original Keller Williams office in Austin, TX . Her previous experience includes a twenty year history as Associate Director and Asset Manager for large institutions: buying, selling, developing, and exchanging both commercial and real estate assets. In addition, she owned and operated a boutique brokerage covering multiple states transacting commercial, residential, and waterfront luxury ranches. M.E. holds the CCIM and CRS designations.
Michael Barbaro – Treasurer
Michael Barbaro is founder and CEO of Redwith Inc. and its subsidiary companies, including Redwith Real Estate, a technology-driven, impact-focused real estate brokerage and Redwith Technologies, a B2B & B2C (SaaS) software development company with a primary concentration in the ReTech and FinTech verticals. Barbaro also remains at the helm and CEO of his flagship firm, the philanthropically inspired Huntsman, Meade & Partners Compass Realty Corporation, a residential and commercial real estate brokerage which he founded in 2008 and Omni Consulting, a strategic consulting firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, crisis mitigation and litigation consulting launched in 1999.
In addition to his personally held corporate entities Barbaro is president of SmartMLS, a nationally ranked, top-20 statewide (Connecticut) multiple listing service with nearly 22,000 subscribers.
Melissa King- At-Large
Melissa King is the Chief Operating Officer of OneKey, where she oversees day-to-day operations and helps align people, process, and technology to support the organization’s strategic goals. In her role, she focuses on improving efficiency, strengthening internal collaboration, and ensuring OneKey delivers a consistent, high-quality experience to its customers and partners. Known for her practical leadership style and focus on execution, Melissa plays a key role in turning vision into measurable results for the organization.
AnneMarie DeCatsye
AnneMarie is CEO of Canopy Realtor® Association and Canopy MLS. Named in the Swanepoel Power 200 report since 2018 as one of the most powerful people in real estate, she serves on the MLS Roundtable, realtor.com MLS Advisory Board and is the corporate secretary for the MLS Grid. She previously served on the Council of MLSs Board of Directors, and represented large regional MLSs on the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Board of Directors and its MLS Executive Advisory Group. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition (REBIC), the Board of Advisors for the Local Initiatives Support Coalition (LISC), a non-profit focused on expanding affordable housing, and the UNC Charlotte Childress Klein Center for Real Estate (CKRE) Advisory Board, where her leadership has been paramount, leading CKRE to develop a multi-year benchmarking study on the State of Housing in Charlotte utilizing Canopy MLS data.
Ashley Dane
Serving as Regional Director for RE/MAX of Michigan, Ashley Dane supports a powerful network of more than 50 brokers, 80 offices, and 1,200 agents across the state. In her role, she focuses on helping broker-owners and agents grow their businesses, strengthen their operations, and deliver exceptional service to consumers in every market they serve.
Charlie F. Hunt
Charles F. Hunt has been involved in real estate for his entire life. Charlie’s great-grandfather founded HUNT Real Estate Corp. in 1911 in Buffalo, NY, primarily as a business brokerage and commercial real estate brokerage. Hunt’s current roles with the organization include Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Director of Corporate Relations. Hunt is also involved in the local and state real estate community serving on the New York State Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors, as a Director and Secretary for the Upstate New York Real Estate Information Service, Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors, Greater Rochester Association of Realtors and Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors.
Chris Raveis
Chris serves as President of William Raveis Real Estate, the largest family-owned residential real estate company in the Northeast, Florida, and South Carolina, ranked #13 among U.S. brokerages. In 2003, he expanded the company beyond Connecticut, establishing 70 locations and launching the franchise division, William Raveis Affiliates. Chris oversees management and operations for 4,500+ sales associates and advances proprietary tools and technologies. Before William Raveis, he co-founded Home-Link Services, Inc., and was a top commercial broker at Jones Lang LaSalle. Under his leadership, William Raveis has earned numerous accolades, including Best Real Estate Company in Connecticut and Top Luxury Broker in the U.S.
Christina Pappas
Christina Pappas is the dynamic President of The Keyes Company, bringing a rich legacy as a third-generation real estate broker and a passion for the South Florida real estate community. With a focus on innovative strategy and empathetic leadership, she prioritizes both Realtor and customer experience in every company endeavor. Since joining her family’s company in 2011, Christina’s leadership has not only propelled her to receive numerous awards but also to drive significant charitable contributions in the community. Her commitment to excellence and community service has established her as a prominent figure in the real estate industry.
Dana Strandmo
Dana is the chief administrative officer of HomeServices of America and has been in that role since 2016. Prior to his role as CAO, Dana was HomeServices’ general counsel providing legal advice and guidance to the company from its inception in 1998. Dana was corporate counsel for Edina Realty in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he spent seven years guiding its brokerage, mortgage, title and escrow and insurance businesses prior to his promotion to HomeServices’ general counsel.
Fran Broude
Fran is the Regional Vice President for Compass in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin and the licensed managing broker for Compass Illinois. Fran began her real estate career more than 30 years ago, first as an agent, various management positions and for the past 25 years she has held senior leadership positions in Chicagoland and the midwest in multiple states. Her focus has been on identifying and developing skilled sales leader teams and overseeing brokerage operations ensuring excellent agent support and strategic growth leading to market share dominance under her leadership. She is passionate about coaching agents, teams and sales leaders to high levels of success while helping them navigate an ever changing industry.
Merri Jo Cowen
Merri Jo Cowen is the CEO of Stellar MLS, the largest MLS in Florida and Puerto Rico and the third largest in the United States. Since assuming the role in 2008, she has led transformative growth across membership, partnerships, and global data initiatives, including Stellar MLS’s 2019 rebrand. With over 40 years of industry experience, Cowen serves on multiple national and international boards and promotes MLS value worldwide. She has been repeatedly recognized by the Swanepoel Power 200, RISMedia, and Inman, and is deeply committed to giving back through RPAC, Realtor Relief Fund, and Stellar Cares.
RJ Long
RJ Long is the Managing Partner of Real Properties Group and its Coldwell Banker franchises, the 7th largest Coldwell Banker franchise in the US by units. RJ is a strong advocate for quality and providing value in the real estate industry. Over the years he has held several NYS leadership positions, as well as serving on several industry Board of Directors in various capacities. In addition, his experience has included investment sales, government consultation, asset management, commercial real estate development and he is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Make-A-Wish NENY Board of Trustees, helping to spearhead its mission of creating life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses.
