BPP Optimistic About Homesnap Acquisition
Many industry colleagues have reached out to the BPP with questions about what the acquisition of Homesnap by CoStar Group means for the future of the BPP. Last week the BPP provided this statement, along with FAQs, available on the BPP site:
The BPP is optimistic about the future path, and confident that CoStar’s resources and expertise will help the BPP continue to fulfill the mission – to create a better, more accurate, industry-friendly alternative to the large listing portals.

Greater Southern MLS Joins the BPP
Greater Southern MLS and the BPP jointly announced yesterday in a press release that real estate agent members of Greater Southern MLS, representing nearly one-third of all Louisiana Realtors, now have access to Homesnap, the public-facing brand of the BPP. The addition of Greater Southern MLS and its 700+ members expands the Homesnap footprint, covering more than 90% of all property listings nationwide.
“Greater Southern MLS commitment to helping its members connect to millions of consumers – and with each other – through BPP with Homesnap is a path that helps every MLS increase the value it offers,” said Joe Rand, Executive Director, BPP.

What’s New With Homesnap?
We are excited to announce the release of Multi-Area Search! This new feature allows users to search for multiple areas in one search rather than having to jump back and forth between searches. Additionally, Multi-Area Search is supported by Saved Search Alerts to allow users to receive alerts for multiple areas.
Multi Area- Search is available nationwide and allows searching up to five areas at once. Users can search areas that are within 60 miles of their initial search location.
