Industry Leader Joe Rand Named BPP Executive Director
The BPP announced last week that real estate industry veteran Joseph “Joe” Rand, Chief Creative Officer for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) Rand Realty, has been named the Executive Director of the BPP. Rand will serve as the voice of the BPP, speaking at industry events, contributing articles and encouraging MLSs and brokers to support the industry movement.
“Joe Rand is one of the most trusted and well-known thought leaders in real estate,” said John Mosey, a National Broker Public Portal board member, chairman of the BPP and CEO of NorthstarMLS. “He is uniquely qualified—with his experience as a broker, agent educator and industry insider—to take the Broker Public Portal with Homesnap movement to every market in America.”
“We have an opportunity to take the BPP to the forefront of the conversation about our industry’s future,” Rand said. “I challenge any agent in a Homesnap market to do what I did before accepting the job—take a ‘taste test’. Get two phones out—one on Homesnap and one on any other real estate portal,” Rand told RISMedia. “Then run searches, save properties, put them both through their paces. They’ll see what I saw, which is that Homesnap is better than any other real estate search app on the market.”
Homesnap and Rapattoni Partner to Launch Advanced Integrations for MLSs
The BPP is excited to announce that Rapattoni and Homesnap have entered into an agreement to offer advanced integrations to their mutual MLS customers. The integrations will include synchronization of contacts between the two platforms and edit listing functionality. They will be available to mutual Rapattoni MLS and Homesnap Pro users at no additional charge.
“Rapattoni is dedicated to providing our users with access to premium third-party services supported by our Web API technology. We are proud to be working with Homesnap to deliver to our MLS customers a best-in-class product with native API integrations which will sync MLS data between our two platforms and make agents’ lives easier,” said Brian Tepfer, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Rapattoni. Rapattoni and Homesnap expect these integrations to be introduced by the fourth quarter of 2020.
Miami Realtors Helping Agents Invest in Themselves During COVID-19
In a recent episode of the Snapshot, Homesnap’s digital marketing podcast, host Gayle Weiswasser talked to Teresa King Kinney (CEO) and Deborah Boza-Valledor (COO & CMO) of Miami Realtors, the large and diverse MLS serving the Miami area, about what agents should be doing to keep their skills sharp and their clients engaged. They discussed how they were managing their organization through the COVID-19 pandemic and the services they have implemented for their members to help facilitate showings and transactions.
